Congratulations!
You’re almost FINISHED with this website build.
Pat yourself on the back, breathe a HUGE sigh of relief and know that you are leaving this process as a more knowledgeable business owner, and you have a kick-ass website to go along with it!
Final Steps.
-
Purchase the website subscription
Settings > billing > trial subscription > upgrade > select the business plan (personal plan is not sufficient, doesn’t allow for custom code, etc.)
-
Connect + transfer domain name to SS.
Settings > Domains > Connect a domain I own > Follow instructions. (Or let me do this for you! I just need login information for the domain host)
-
Connect social accounts
Settings > connected accounts > connect account > choose “instagram” & what ever other accounts you wish to connect. Done!
-
Create a custom gmail email address with your domain name (must be done AFTER domain transfer success)
Servings > Google workspace > add new user > go through the set up process. You will have to confirm with another email account, so make sure the backup email you put in here is one that you have access to.
-
Complete business information
Settings > business information > fill this out as extensively as you see necessary. Obviously, the more info, the better.
-
Familiarize yourself with the Analytics panel.
This is a great tool for seeing how many people are visiting your site, how they’re finding it, how long they stay on, what pages get the most hits, etc.
-
Form, button and link check!
Do all of the forms, buttons and links on the site go where they are supposed to?
-
SEO site description
Marketing > SEO > at the bottom there is a box for “SEO site description.” Write a short explanation of your business using keywords for your brand and industry, but make sure it reads organically and nor “keyword stuffed.”
-
Image ALT text for SEO
Providing text descriptions of images on your site just means that the google, mind control, AI robots can see what’s on your site. The way it works is by recognizing TEXT data, now just
images” alone. Most images have rich data built in, but that’s usually boring stuff like copyright info and camera data.On SS, to add descriptions to an image, simply click the image in edit mode, click the “edit” pencil icon, and scroll down to “ IMAGE ALT TEXT.”
Here is where you’ll organically describe your image. This helps your SEO because you’re adding text to the otherwise “invisible” images on your site. These descriptions should be natural and not “keyword stuffing.” Think about a list of 30 keywords, and make sure your imagery fits into those categories.
-
Spelling & mobile check
Make sure that everything is spelled correctly and worded clearly.
View the site on desktop, tablet and mobile to check for inconsistencies.
-
Announce on Social!
IT’S TIME! Make sure that you announce your new site on Social Media! Hopefully, we got to take lots of amazing photos together and make some neat custom artwork that will look AMAZING on that new business 9 grid, y’all.
-
Order marketing materials
Order those new business cards, stickers and flyers now so that you can spread the word about your new business baby. Personally, i’d much rather get a new business postcard than a “here’s my new actual human baby” postcard. Just sayin’. If you need help designing marketing materials, you know i’ve got you. Shoot me an email at hello@taylorheery.com if you’re needing some help! I recommend Moo.com and artifact uprising for printing.
FINAL BALANCE PAYMENT & FULL FINAL FILE DELIVERY
In order for me to transfer ownership of your site to you and send the final files, you need to pay your balance in FULL within 48 hours of site completion.
1) Pay your final invoice if there is a remaining balance.
2) After the invoice is paid, the site ownership will be transferred to you. At this point you can choose to leave me on as a contributor (recommended if you think you’ll need ongoing assistance) or you can remove my profile from the site.
3) If you have any digital files (logos, artwork, etc.) they will be delivered to you VIA WeTransfer. These files will consist of .jpeg, .png (transparent backgrounds) and .svg (vectorized) files. They will come in a variety of color options (amount depends on what you’ve purchased) for use on dark and light backgrounds.
4) That’s it! Enjoy your new brand / website and don’t forget to spread the word about Rebrandle if you feel it was worth your investment. I always appreciate feedback, so let me know if there’s something I can do to better accommodate clients in the future.
THANK YOU so much for supporting my family and my business.
You truly can’t know what an impact your partnership has had on my life, and i’m grateful to play a small part in your big plans!
Legal Beagle Stuff
If the balance is not paid within 48 hours, you will be removed from the site and final file delivery will be withheld until payment is made.
If payment is not made within 30 days from project completion, late fees of $50/day will begin to incur, resulting in daily invoice reminders. After 60 days of non-payment, the site will be deleted and the files returned to my personal artwork archive. Retrieval will consist of a full balance payment, including additional fees, being made.
After 60 days, I, the designer Taylor Heery, reserve the right to pursue payment through legal channels and/or terminate the contract agreement. Deposits are non-refundable and remaining balances must be paid to access your final works.
